Representation of a mental process that allows new experiences to be fully considered before labelling.

Alternation is the common denominator between states of perception and reality. It connects your inner world with the outside world as it creates and destroys both. Alternation fixes your perception to reality best when unimpeded. The further your thoughts are allowed to pass each degree of perception before coming to a conclusion, the further your observations go from merely noticing a thing, to assigning it a name, to appreciating it’s meaning, to enlightenment, which in turn revolve into an artful adaptation of your next observation, and so on. Thoughts are energy, so no amount of slicing and dicing can isolate them. Like all quanta in superposition, every thought is captured and contained only by observation. So in a way, their origins are best chronicled by the moment the present becomes the past.
