What is Flow?

Neuroscientists have recorded signature brainwave patterns that occur when high performers enter into what some call “flow,” an intense state when the subject is completely lost or present in the moment.

The universe happens to us at different speeds, such as the speed of light and sound. Our senses must convert these different types of information — in the form of sight, hearing, etc. — into a biologically synchronized assemblage of what we call reality. You are living an elaborate simulation put on by biological algorithms uploading and downloading information from your senses and memories. Flow occurs when you encounter a challenge interesting enough to suspend at least some facets of your sophisticated mental motif in favor of dealing with the immediate task at hand.
